The rugged beauty of Palawan once again became the backdrop of a powerful display of unity and patriotism as riders from across the country gathered for the West Philippine Sea Challenge 2 a long-distance motorcycle ride from Puerto Princesa to Iwahig and onward to El Nido. More than just a scenic journey, the event served as a symbolic expression of national pride and a call to protect the country’s maritime heritage.

The West Philippine Sea Challenge was conceived as a way to raise awareness about the importance of the West Philippine Sea and its role in the lives of Filipinos—from fishermen and coastal communities to the nation’s identity and sovereignty.

Now on its second run, the challenge has grown in both scale and significance. Riders proudly displayed patriotic colors, flags, and decals as they cruised along Palawan’s western corridor—one of the closest landmasses to the contested waters of the West Philippine Sea.
